Every Tuesday evening from 5.30 p.m. to 7.00 p.m. for singing and signing.

Sing & Sign’ is a weekly evening event for learning disabled people and their carers. This event allows the learning disabled person to have fun learning sign language to music from a qualified Makaton teacher, whilst the carers get together to socialise and chat.

Tea, coffee, juice, and snacks are provided.

Note: We ask for carer supervision during the event please.

We hold a monthly event here at Talbot House for our carers to come down for a fun community day including a buffet, bingo and raffles (with prizes on offer). This gives carers a chance to socialise and have a break from the usual routine.

This is open to all Talbot House service users.

From time to time we provide small day-trips to give parent carers a break from their usual caring routine and to socialise with other parents. We strongly believe it’s important to keep bring people together and rebuild old, and create new friendships with other parents in the same boat as themselves.
